How This Vending Startup Grew Its YouTube Over 3X Filming Part-Time

How we helped two founders building a vending business on the side go from no time for content to a dedicated editor who grew their YouTube over 3X.

"He's helped us grow our social media over 3X from a YouTube perspective."Sean · SnackCity Vending

Background

Sean runs SnackCity Vending with a business partner while both hold full-time jobs and build a second, teaching-focused business around helping people reach financial freedom. Between two businesses and full-time work, they had almost no time to sit and interview editors or learn video tools themselves.

They'd tried before. Early on they hired an editor overseas and hit a massive language barrier, the editor didn't understand the industry, and the videos just weren't what they expected. As Sean put it, in this business "you either do it right or you do it twice."

The Process

We give our editors deep background on each client's industry and expectations before placement, and we let clients review candidates by interview, background, and past projects so they can pick the best fit, personality-wise and editing-wise.

We matched Sean with Fabio, who came in on day one and started producing and editing content immediately, no weeks-long ramp where they'd be paying for someone to slowly learn the business. Fabio stayed highly responsive to feedback, implementing changes downstream across future edits, and happily adjusted direction or scheduling whenever they wanted to try something new.

The Results

Handing content to a dedicated editor let the founders keep building their businesses while their reach grew.

1) Grew YouTube over 3X. Long-form YouTube is their bread and butter, it's how they teach. Sean credits Fabio with a direct impact on that growth through his scripts, editing style, and thumbnail testing, helping grow their social media over 3X from a YouTube perspective in just a couple of months.

2) Content from day one, money saved. Because Fabio hit the ground running immediately, there was no expensive buffer period. They started posting almost right away, which Sean says saved them a bunch of money and got content in front of their audience faster.

3) Founders freed to film a couple hours a week. Instead of spending hours a day on content, the founders now just film a couple of hours a week and let Fabio push their vision out to the world, so they can focus on actually building the business.
