Background
David L. is the founder and CEO of Michigan Elite Conditioning for Athletes (MECA), a premium personal training company with three locations and about 40 staff. They're the largest personal training operation in their area, serving two main segments: athletes looking to improve performance and affluent professionals focused on strength, longevity, and injury prevention.

For years, the business ran almost entirely on referrals—80% of clients came from word of mouth or returning customers. Marketing wasn't really a thing. David had tried building an in-house marketing team, but it didn't work out. He ended up cutting around $500k in payroll with little to show for it.

The content they did have was sporadic. No strategy. No system. One internal videographer doing ad-hoc edits. David described the output as "results-oriented fluff" with an editing style that "felt like 2005." The Process
