How This Flight Instructor Grew Site Traffic 32% & Won New Clients

How we helped a flight instructor go from scattered, do-it-yourself marketing to a dedicated editor who grew his website traffic 32% and brought in new students from platforms he'd never used.

"The visits to my website are up roughly about 32%."Brian Fredrickson

Background

Brian Fredrickson is a flight instructor who spent 25 years in sales before this. He's an expert at flying airplanes and teaching students, not marketing. As he put it, "I didn't know what I didn't know." He'd been doing a little content here and a little there, with no real system and no presence beyond the people who already knew him.

He needed to reach students outside his existing network, and he needed someone who understood the marketing side he didn't.

The Process

We recruited and placed Kunle as Brian's dedicated editor and marketing arm. Kunle took over content and coached Brian on the small things that make filming effortless, wardrobe, pacing, delivery, so the process felt seamless.

The two hold weekly 15-to-30-minute check-ins to align on what they're working on. We set expectations up front that this is a six-month process that takes time to gain traction before it starts flowing, and that's exactly how it played out.

The Results

Consistent, professional content improved Brian's visibility everywhere and started bringing in students he'd never have reached on his own.

1) Website traffic up ~32%. Brian went from averaging roughly 150–200 unique visitors a month last year to about 250–260 a month once the campaign started, a jump of around 32%, with a clear spike he can point to. Average time on site is also up about 15%, sitting around a minute and 45 seconds, right in the sweet spot for his industry.

2) New students from platforms he'd never used. A prospective student found Brian on TikTok, a platform he had no presence on before, and the content resonated because it showed his teaching-first approach. That single student represents roughly $5,000 in top-line revenue. Brian now has two paying clients he attributes to the new content, with two more working to free up time to start.

3) A dedicated marketing arm and a stronger funnel. Kunle became the marketing arm of Brian's business, "part of the team." On the back of the new interest, Brian added a booking button to his website so prospects can grab a time to talk, which he expects to drive even more business given his high closing rate.
